Raspberry Meringue Dessert Bars Recipe

Raspberry Meringue Dessert Bar Recipe
2 sticks butter
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
2 cup flour
1 jar raspberry preserves
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 tsp almond extract
3 egg whites
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup flaked coconut
1/2 cup sliced almonds
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in egg. Stir in flour; mix well. Spread dough in buttered 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes. Combine preserves, raisins and extract. Spread over baked cookie base. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold in coconut and almonds. Spread over raspberry mixture. Return to oven and bake until meringue is light brown, about 20 minutes. Cool in pan. Cut into bars.

Sunflower Seed Dessert Bars Recipe

Sunflower Seed Dessert Bars Recipe
2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon
3 cups rolled oats (quick)
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup melted shortening
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup sunflower seeds
4 cup thinly sliced raw apples (peeled)
Sift together dry ingredients into bowl. Add remaining ingredients; mix until smooth. Press half of mixture into greased jelly roll pan. Sprinkle sunflower seeds over dough, then arrange a layer of apple slices over sunflower seeds. Roll out the remaining half of dough to form size of jelly roll pan between two sheets of wax paper. Remove top sheet; lift bottom sheet and turn dough over apples. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes. When baked, sift a light coating of confectioners sugar over top. Cut into bars.

Cocoa Dessert Bars Recipe

Cocoa Dessert Bars Recipe
1/4 cup margarine
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup milk
2 Tbsp cocoa
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
Cream margarine. Gradually add sugar and vanilla, creaming well. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time. Stir in milk. Sift together dry ingredients; stir into creamed mixture. Add nuts. Spread in grased 9x9 pan. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes.

Chocolate Coconut Dessert Bars Recipe

Chocolate Coconut Dessert Bars Recipe
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 cup finely crushed graham crackers
1 1/3 cup flaked coconut
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Combine all ingreadients; spread in well-greased and floured 8x8x2 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Cut into bars.

Magic Cookie Bars Recipe

Magic Cookie Bars Recipe
1 1/2 cup cornflake crumbs
3 Tbsp sugar
1 stick butter melted
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup chocolate chips
1 1/3 cup flaked coconut
1 cup condensed milk

Melt butter in 9x13 inch pan. Add sugar and cornflake crumbs and mix. Press with spoon to form crust. Sprinkle walnuts over crust. Sprinkle chips over walnuts and coconut on top. Pour condensed milk over all evenly. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.

Pecan Bars Recipe

1 cup brown sugar
¼ cup butter melted then add to sugar
1 egg well blended
1 cup flour sifted
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
½ cup pecans
Blend together and spread in 8x12 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

Golden Apricot Bars Recipe

Golden Apricot Bars Recipe
2/3 cup dried apricots (cover with water and boil 10 minutes, drain)
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup butter
2 eggs
¼ cup sugar
½ cup walnuts
1 cup flour
1/3 cup flour
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
Mix together butter, sugar, and 1 cup flour. Pack into a 9x13 inch pan and bake 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Sift together remaining 1/3 cup flour, baking powder, and salt. In a bowl beat the 2 eggs with 1 cup brown sugar then add the flour mixture. Add the apricots and nuts. Spread over baked crust. Return to oven and back another 30 minutes longer. Sprinkle with powdered sugar after cooled.
